Rugby Calvisano will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee in Dublin on Thursday, 2 March.
Rugby Calvisano will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee to answer two complaints of misconduct brought against them by ERC relating to the twice postponed Round 5 Heineken Cup Pool 2 match between Rugby Calvisano and Leeds Tykes at Centro Sportivo San Michele, initially scheduled for Saturday 14 January, 2006.
Following the referral of the fixture to the ERC Board, the Board resolved that Rugby Calvisano were at fault with regard to the postponement and directed the ERC Disciplinary Officer to proceed with the two misconduct complaints against Rugby Calvisano.
The following complaints were lodged by the ERC Disciplinary Officer against Rugby Calvisano:
i) failure to prepare a suitable venue for the match (Saturday, 14 January, 2006 at 14.00.)
ii) refusal to fulfil a rescheduled fixture when directed by ERC.
The hearing will take place in Dublin on Thursday, 2 March. The independent Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Rod McKenzie (Scotland) and will also comprise Francois Guers (France) and Geraint Edwards (Wales).
