While the Champions Cup Pool 3 side from Scotland made it five wins from five games by defeating Benetton Rugby 37-21 at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday night, the Pool 1 team from Ireland succumbed 27-23 at Challenge Cup club Zebre Rugby on Saturday.
Fly-half Peter Horne was the Warriors' main man as they withstood a second-half fightback from Benetton, kicking 12 points and scoring one of their four tries to pull the home side four points clear of Munster at the top of Conference A.
Zebre comeback
It was the second half that also proved crucial at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, where Giovanni Licata, Mattia Bellini and Renato Giammarioli crossed for Zebre to inspire a comeback from 13-6 down at the interval and register a second successive win.
Scarlets now head Conference B after their 36-27 home win over Connacht on Friday night, new signing Leigh Halfpenny helping the reigning champions move two points clear of Leinster Rugby and Ulster with 16 points.
It was all change as well at the top of the Aviva Premiership, where Champions Cup Pool 2 side Northampton Saints lead Challenge Cup Pool 1 team Newcastle Falcons on points difference, with both clubs locked on 19 points.
Try bonus
Saints notched their fourth win in a row by a 30-22 margin at home to Harlequins on Saturday, George North, Tom Collins, Mike Haywood and Ahsee Tuala sealing that all-important try bonus point.

It is as you were in the TOP 14, where Champions Cup Pool 3 side Montpellier returned to winning ways with a 57-10 home triumph over Brive to move two points clear of Challenge Cup Pool 2 team Lyon, who also have five wins from six games.
Wing Nemani Nadolo led Montpellier's seven-try spree with a hat-trick, closely followed by hooker Bismarck du Plessis with two.
